Will Be Washed: NFL Fans Make Feelings Clear After Tyreek Hill Linked with Josh Allen's Bills

Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills may be on the verge of signing one of the biggest free agents this offseason: Tyreek Hill. But the move didn't sit right with fans.

It all started when the Bills’ President of football operations, Brandon Beane, was asked if they wanted to pursue Hill.

Speaking on Pro Football Talk, he said, “We’re always doing due diligence. That guy is a heck of a player. What he’s done and, you know, I know he had a tough injury. Beyond that, there’s really not a lot more to it.”

During his time first with the Kansas City Chiefs and then the Miami Dolphins, Hill turned out to be one of the most explosive wide receivers. He was first drafted by the Chiefs in 2016 and became a key player alongside star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, culminating in them winning Super Bowl LIV.

In total, he tallied 6,630 receiving yards and 479 receptions in six seasons for the Chiefs. He was traded to the Miami Dolphins in 2022 and signed a four-year, $120 million deal. In his first two seasons with the Dolphins, he recorded 3,509 yards for 238 catches, including 20 touchdowns.

His 2025 season was cut short by a severe knee injury. In a game against the New York Jets in September, Tyreek Hill suffered a severe knee injury when he made a catch and was tackled near the Jets’ sideline.

At the moment, Hill seems bent on making a return to the Chiefs. The receiver publicly admitted his desire to do so on a stream and made several appearances in Kansas City. However, the team might be looking to bring in younger talent.

That's where the Bills can come in. Instead of playing with Mahomes, Hill can play with star QB Josh Allen. The Bills need solid receivers, since Khalil Shakir was their highest-performing receiver last season with 719 yards and 4 touchdowns. None of the receivers on the team crossed 1000 passing yards.

And while it looks like a positive direction on paper, fans aren't happy about it.

NFL Fans claim Hill is washed and cannot perform

Fans believe Hill is washed out and will be a ghost of his former self next season.

“Chasing ghosts, bro. Dude will be washed. Bills just continue to have no clue about WR's,” one fan posted. This fan's opinion is based on historical data. Since Stefon Diggs in 2023, no receiver has been able to go past the 1000 passing-yard mark.

Others also noted his age, with Hill going to be 32 during the 2026 season. “As a Bills fan, no, we don’t want him. He’s going to be washed after that injury last year. 32 with that kind of injury? Yeah, no thanks,” a Bills fan commented. But the injury isn't the only thing holding him back. Another fan chimed in, “Unless he gets a time machine, he will not be the NFL's fastest receiver anymore”, referring to Tyreek Hill’s explosive speed that might not be the same anymore.

Tyreek Hill also does not have a good history with the Bills. He once called the Bills fans “stupid”.

“That fool ain't gonna play for the Bills l****. He hates the bills,” one fan concluded.
