NFL Fans Mock Cleveland Browns' Schedule Release Video

The NFL schedule release has become its own event, with every franchise competing for social media attention. The Cleveland Browns came prepared, and their creative team went all in for this.

The Browns dropped their 2026 schedule announcement through a Street Fighter-inspired video. This featured QB Shedeur Sanders, defensive star Myles Garrett, and other members of the roster reimagined as fighting game characters.

For a franchise that has endured years of losing, the video was a statement. The team posted this on their X account, with the caption.

"Introducing Street Fighter: CLE! 2026 Schedule Release"

The Browns did not stop at one piece of content either. Alongside the main video, the team posted individual memes targeting every single one of their 2026 opponents. The Pittsburgh Steelers received a trash bag photo, and the rest of the division got their own treatment.

The Browns will start the 2026 season on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 13. Meanwhile, their full early schedule includes tough divisional matchups against the Ravens and Steelers, and also intriguing games against the Texans and Buccaneers.

Overall, the Browns’ creative approach stood out for scheduled release videos, which also included the Chargers’ viral Halo-themed video and several other clever productions. But, did it stand out for good reasons? Fans may have a different opinion.

Fans Respond To Browns Schedule Release Video

The Cleveland Browns’ Street Fighter-themed 2026 schedule release video was meant to be fun and creative, but many fans weren’t impressed.

“Can’t lie, this was a hard watch,” one supporter wrote shortly after the video dropped.

The criticism came in waves. “We got the lamest schedule release videos year in and year out, man, I swear,” another frustrated fan posted, echoing a common complaint among Browns supporters.

Some fans were so unimpressed that they even shared timestamps to skip the cinematic portion. “2:53 for the actual schedule so you don’t have to watch the lame part,” one user advised.

Others took it a step further as they tied the video to the team’s on-field struggles.

"Four wins this year. This isn’t one of them,” a fan joked bitterly.

The harshest reaction came from a clearly fed-up supporter saying,

“This is the dumbest f****** thing I’ve ever seen. Can’t we even reveal a schedule without embarrassing the city?”

While the Browns’ creative team tried to inject some personality into the schedule drop, a large segment of the fanbase felt it fell flat. For a franchise still trying to change its culture, even simple things like a scheduled video are now under heavy scrutiny.
