NFL Analyst Names Jerry Jeudy’s Replacement Ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns may have a tough decision to make about receiver Jerry Jeudy. According to one PFF analyst, the team could use one of its top draft picks to secure his long-term replacement.
The Browns head into the NFL Draft seemingly spoiled for choices. With two first-round draft picks for usage, Pro Football Focus analyst Gordon McGuinness believes the Browns could be looking at bringing in Omar Cooper Jr. as a long-term replacement for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
In his mock draft, he wrote, “After addressing left tackle earlier in the round, the Browns take a wide receiver with their second selection. Cooper was excellent in his final season at Indiana, averaging 2.55 yards per route run (17th among draft-eligible wide receivers) and dropping just 4.2% of his catchable targets.
His analysis suggested that improving depth would be key for the Browns. “Cleveland had one of the worst wide receiver rooms in the NFL a season ago. Cooper would be a nice addition with Jerry Jeudy.”

At 6-foot-1 and 201 pounds, Omar Cooper Jr. has the ideal size for the position. He had a standout season for Indiana with 937 receiving yards and 69 receptions. He led the team to the championship and averaged 2.55 yards per route run.
Jeudy remains the top receiver for the Browns heading into the next season. Drafting Cooper would keep him as a second option and create much-needed squad depth.
Will Jerry Jeudy bounce back from a subpar 2025 season?
In 17 games, the wide receiver recorded just 50 receptions for 602 yards and two touchdowns. However, his struggles were not entirely his own.
With the starting quarterbacks ranging from Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders, it was a stark decline from the performance that led him to claim Pro Bowl honors in 2024.
During that season, he recorded 1,200 yards with 90 receptions. The Browns hope a return to form for Jeudy coincides with a revival of their offense.
Jeudy was spotted working out with Shedeur Sanders this offseason as he looks set to start the season for the Browns as their quarterback.
