Josh Allen & Hailee Steinfeld Take Unusual Route Following Daughter's Birth

Apr 2, 2026, 11:54 PM CUT

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen just became a dad, and his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, made sure the announcement didn’t feel like a typical celebrity post.

The Hollywood actress shared the news of their daughter’s birth on April 2nd through her Beau Society Substack newsletter.

Instead of posting on social media or giving interviews like most celebrities do, she chose a more personal way, an interesting approach, definitely.

It was just a normal post for the readers who had followed her pregnancy from the beginning.

"We're feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments," Hailee posted on Substack. "Thank you so much for the love and well wishes."

It wasn’t the first time Steinfeld used the newsletter to share moments with fans. Back in January, she posted a photo of a sweater with “Baby Beau” on it, which was her childhood nickname, now passed on.

Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld got married in California in May 2025, and they shared the pregnancy news in December. A few days later, Allen was asked about it after the Bills beat the New England Patriots.

“It’s a special moment in my wife’s life,” Allen said in a December 14 interview. “The love that I’ve received from my teammates and friends it’s been really nice.”

Steinfeld had already shared how she feels about Allen even before the baby arrived.

What Josh Allen Means to Hailee Steinfeld

A Bustle interview from last November captured it best. Steinfeld wasn’t talking about red carpets or film roles. All she was talking about was finally feeling grounded.

"That inner peace that you have, that rock, that solid, consistent part of your life is indescribable," Steinfeld said. "I literally thank God every day that I found my person."

Allen is going into the 2026 season as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and Buffalo has a strong chance to win the Super Bowl. His teammates supported him when the pregnancy news came out, showing how they see him as more than just a football player.

Right now, none of that matters much. There is a new baby in the Allen family, and both parents are very happy.
