Jay Glazer Sends Strong Message to Aaron Rodgers Over Broken Friendship
After years of a poor relationship with the media, Aaron Rodgers may have lost another friend amongst NFL insiders.
Jay Glazer claimed that the former Steelers quarterback has not returned his calls this year.
“I trained with Aaron in the offseason. I still can’t tell you how he’ll be on a Monday or a Tuesday. Like I never know. You never know. I thought we were real good friends, and all that stuff, then he called me back once this whole offseason, so s**** him,” Glazer said, speaking to reporters from Yahoo Sports.
This is in stark contrast with last year, when Glazer showed videos of him boxing with Aaron Rodgers on Fox NFL Sunday. The broadcaster has a background in MMA and regularly trains with many NFL players, maintaining good relationships with them.
At the same time, for some, it hasn't been a surprise. There's no love lost between Rodgers and NFL experts, and his statement from January certainly showed that.
"The validity given to the Twitter experts and all the experts on TV now who make it seem like they know what the hell they're talking about. To me, that's an absolute joke..."
So does that mean Rodgers is calling it quits after seemingly cutting contact with his trainer?
Aaron Rodgers’ future in the NFL remains uncertain after Steelers exit
After losing the first round of the NFL playoffs to the Houston Texans, there was a lingering question about Aaron Rodgers.
Having spent 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, then 2 seasons with the New York Jets, and one with the Steelers, Aaron Rodgers now has to decide whether to continue with another team or go into retirement.
There is also a possibility that he could rejoin the Steelers, given his relationship with new Head Coach Mike McCarthy, having spent 13 years together and winning the Super Bowl in 2011. Only time will tell where Aaron Rodgers will head next.
