Shedeur Sanders has found himself at the center of another Browns quarterback conversation. With Deshaun Watson currently ahead of him, questions are already emerging about whether Cleveland remains the right place for Sanders.

Those questions have intensified after the Giants lost Jaxson Dart for the season and began considering their options at quarterback. Jameis Winston is currently in line to start, while reports have linked Sanders with a potential move to New York.

However, Browns reporter Tony Grossi does not believe Sanders would immediately take Winston's job. Speaking about the possibility of a trade, Grossi questioned whether Cleveland would even consider moving Sanders if New York intended to make him its starter.

“I think Harbaugh's comment leads me to believe he's looking for someone to be better than Jameis Winston and start for him. I don't know where he's going to find that. It's not going to be Shedeur.”

Grossi doubled down when asked whether he believed Sanders was better than Winston. His response focused heavily on Sanders' lack of NFL experience.

“I don't think you put in a guy who's got seven career starts and think he's going to be better than Jameis Winston.”

That is a blunt assessment of Sanders, especially with his future in Cleveland already uncertain. For now, Watson remains ahead of him, leaving Sanders waiting for his opportunity while the trade speculation continues.

Shedeur Sanders Is Already Making an Impact in Cleveland

While Sanders has yet to make his NFL debut, he has recently made a significant impact away from the field. On September 22, he donated 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to students at two East Cleveland schools.

The gesture earned Sanders the NFLPA's Week 3 Community MVP award. The NFLPA will also donate $10,000 to his Legendary Impact Foundation.

So while questions remain about Sanders' football future, his connection with Cleveland continues growing. Whether that relationship continues on the field remains one of the Browns' biggest unanswered questions.
