One of the highlights of the NFL off-season was undoubtedly the QB battle in Cleveland. The Browns pitted Shedeur Sanders against Deshaun Watson at the start, with many hoping Sanders would prevail.

Fastforward a few months, and HC Todd Monken, much to fan annoyance, has named Watson as the starting QB. Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders has been relegated to the QB2 position.

However, that may not be the case for much longer, as the Browns could move him even further down the pecking order. At least, that's what Skip Bayless seems to believe, claiming the team ranks him as the 4th best QB on the roster.

"Shedeur is stuck on a franchise that now I believe ranks him their 4th best quarterback in their building."

Now, this is definitely an exaggeration on Bayless' part, but at times it's hard to disagree. After all, despite putting in some decent performances towards the tailend of last season, Sanders still couldn't get the starting spot.

Instead, the Browns have chosen to go with Deshaun Watson. A player whose last full game was nearly two seasons ago. Only time will tell if the front office and the coaching staff end up regretting this decision.

The Browns are burdening Shedeur Sanders

Skip Bayless is not the only one peeved by the Browns' decision to start Deshaun Watson. Several Browns reports have called out the move, and one in particular pointed how it just increases Sanders' burden.

Browns reported Nick Pedone claimed that Watson will be tested as a starter for a minimum of four weeks. If things don't work out, Shedeur will be given the starting spot.

Now, that may seem like a good deal, but as Pedone points out, by then it may be too late. So much so, that the Browns could end up tasking Sanders with digging them out of a deep hole, of their own making.

Safe to say, the QB battle in Cleveland is still raging, and it will be interesting to see how it all comes to an end.
