Zac Taylor receives blunt assessment as Bengals face pivotal 2026 season

The Cincinnati Bengals face a pivotal 2026 season, with pressure mounting on Zac Taylor.

Speaking on 93.7 The Fan, former Pitt Panthers basketball player Mo Gueye offered a blunt assessment.

Gueye pointed to the team’s investment in its roster and coaching staff. He emphasized the resources given to Zac Taylor and the talent around him:

"You've got all of your best players in their prime. You have Joe Burrow, you have continuity on offense, and you're the play caller. Oh, and the front office went out and got you defensive pieces. And you've had a chance to mould the coaching staff in the way that you want."

Gueye then made his stance positively clear:

"If the results aren't there, I don't know how you bring him [Zac Taylor] back.

Joe Burrow’s future adds to Bengals pressure

Joe Burrow’s future in Cincinnati was also brought up during the discussion.

That possibility adds another layer of pressure on the Bengals. Meanwhile, Cincinnati enters 2026 with plenty at stake.

If the Bengals fail to meet expectations, the season could shape the franchise’s next steps. It could also affect the outlook around Zac Taylor and Burrow.

Cincinnati must focus on what happens on the field. However, the stakes around the team are clear.

The Bengals cannot afford another season that falls short of expectations. Ultimately, 2026 could define what comes next for Cincinnati.
