WR Prospects That Could be Smart NFL Draft Day 2 Picks for Cleveland Browns

While Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft is crucial for the Cleveland Browns to bolster their roster, the following day is just as important.
On April 20, Cleveland.com's Matt Goul has released a list of wide receivers the Browns should comtemplate on drafting, if they slide to Day 2 of the draft. Goul also projected these options should be explored by the front office for later rounds.
Chris Bell, Louisville
The 21-year-old from the Louisville Cardinals ended the 2025 season receiving first-team All ACC honors. According to Sports Reference, Bell recorded 72 receptions for 917 yards, and scored six touchdowns.
At 6’1 and 222 pounds, his total score in the NFL Combine is 79. Pro Football Focus has ranked him just behind Texas A&M’s K.C. Concepcion, who is touted to be the Browns’ pick at 24.

According to Goul, the Indiana Hoosiers’ prospect and 2025 national champion should be the second choice if Omar Cooper Jr. is picked first.
At 6’2 and 210 pounds, Sarratt was a part of the All-Big Ten second team. He spent two years with the Hoosiers and scored 15 touchdowns from 65 receptions and 830 yards. He recceived a total NFL Combine score of 78 at this year's Combine.
Deion Burks, Oklahoma
Projected to be an immediate starter, the Oklahoma Sooners’ prospect stands at 5’9 and weighs 188 pounds. Burks displayed his agility by completing his 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds.
Burks caught the ball 57 times for 620 yards and scored four touchdowns last season. Before spending two years with the Sooners, Burks played at Purdue for three years.
Malachi Fields, Notre Dame
Before finishing his collegiate career with the Fighting Irish, Fields played at Virginia from 2021 to 2024. He also received third-team All-ACC honors in 2024, after receiving five touchdowns in eight games played.
Fields scored five touchdowns from 36 receptions for 630 yards in his final season. He is projected to become a starter after his NFL Combine assessment with a total score of 74.
C.J. Daniels, Miami
The 24-year-old is one of the oldest prospects in this year’s draft, as his collegiate football journey has lasted for six years. Daniels played at Liberty for four years before ending the last two at LSU and the Miami Hurricanes, respectively.
In 2025, he scored seven TDs for 557 yards from 50 receptions. His best season was in 2023, when he caught the ball 55 times for 1,067 yards.
Daniels stands at 6’2 and weighs 205 pounds, and he was noted as a special teamer or an average backup.
The Browns addressed the wide receiver position as a priority heading into the draft. Browns' WR1 Jerry Jeudy led with 50 receptions from 106 targets. However, he scored just two touchdowns for 602 yards.
While Goul presented his top choices for the wide receiver room, the Browns would add some much-needed offensive juggernauts from the upcoming draft.
