Worst Case Comes True for Green Bay as Micah Parsons Out with Torn ACL Scenario

The Green Bay Packers’ season took another hit with an injury to one of their most important players, pass rusher Micah Parsons.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapport reported that Parsons suffered an ACL injury during the Week 15 game between the Packers and the Broncos.
In the second quarter, when in pursuit of tackling Denver’s quarterback Bo Nix, he immediately clinched his knee after taking an awkward step. A trainer had to help Parsons towards the locker room by a trainer.

In Green Bay’s 36-24 loss to the Broncos, Parsons only recorded 2 tackles and a forced fumble before leaving the field. He became a part of the Packers following a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Cowboys. The 26-year-old instantly became one of the leading defenders, registering 19 solo tackles and 12.5 sacks in just 14 games.
With that tough loss against the Broncos, the inaugural Super Bowl winners currently have the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff picture with a 9-4-1 record. They have an 88% chance to make it to the postseason. However, it will be interesting to see how difficult it would be for them to push for a Super Bowl win without Parsons.
Micah Parsons’ message after the ACL Injury
Micah Parsons shared his disappointment of ending the season with an injury and addressed the fans with an emotional post.
The Packers’ defensive end took to X and talked about how this injury was a bump in the road in his long journey. He thanked all of his teammates and the Green Bay organization for showing trust in him by including him in a trade. Parsons assured the saddened fans to recover and come back stronger.
“I may be sidelined, but I am not defeated. This injury is my greatest test—a moment God allowed to strengthen my testimony. I’m deeply grateful to the Packers organization and my teammates for their unwavering support, love, and belief in me during this season,” Parsons said. “I trust His timing, His plan, and His purpose. I will rise again.”
Talking about his injury, head coach Matt LaFleur didn’t underplay it, stating that it looked serious. Now, it’s his job to figure out how the Packers will line up in the absence of Parsons.
They play their next match against their divisional rivals, the Chicago Bears, and edge rusher Quay Walker and defensive end Rashan Gray have to step up their game.
