White House poke fun at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce with unique President Trump post

Madison Square Garden hosted perhaps the most awaited wedding yet. Amidst Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s nuptials, the White House had a special message, and it had nothing to do with the wedding.

“It happened!!!” the White House’s official July 4 X post read.

This post featured an image saying “Trump is your President,” written in bold letters, featured on the iconic New York stadium. While the caption appeared to have hinted at the singer-footballer wedding, the message was a reminder of Trump’s presidency to the city of New York.

While the intention to display the message remains unknown, these same screens featured a message of the couple’s wedding previously.

“JUST&T MARRIED!” the jumbotrons outside the arena read after Swift and Kelce were announced husband and wife, per People. Swift and Kelce, both 36, tied the knot on July 3 in a star-studded wedding.

This is not the first time Trump has addressed Swift over this weekend. As the wedding coincided with the US’s 250th anniversary, Trump has incorporated Swift’s lyrics and images in the celebration over at Washington, D.C.

“America’s Eras Tour,” a mockup read, captioned as “It’s been a long time coming,” referencing a lyric from her 2019 song “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince.”

On July 3, when Trump and a few select guests arrived at the Garden for a dinner, the White House had posted a mockup of the President mirroring Swift’s Eras tour. This poster featured Trump and some moments plucked from American history.

The following morning, the White House once again nodded at Swift. The account posted a 24-second video replete with AI-generated images about the country’s founding.

“America’s greatest hits, one era at a time,” the caption read.

Another post followed that day titled "Next on America's Eras Tour."

While the White House has used the likelihood of the biggest and most successful tour of Swift's career, she has been celebrating her special day with just friends and family.

According to reports, the couple wore Christian Dior Haute Couture for the wedding ceremony. Jonathan Anderson, the fashion house’s creative director, designed their looks.

"Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen. Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man. The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler," the statement of Taylor Swift's rep said.

The wedding kicked off with an intimate rehearsal dinner at the stadium's Infosys Theatre. The wedding was attended by a barrage of A-list friends of the couple, including Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, Hugh Grant, and Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, People reported.
