Veteran Browns Reporter Provides Harsh Reality Check to Shedeur Sanders ahead of the Bills Clash
The Cleveland Browns’ rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders struggled to make an impression in a humiliating loss to the Bears in Week 15.
Following his poor performance, the veteran Browns reporter, Mary Kay Cabot, gave a harsh assessment of Sanders’ outing. “He has to get a comfort level with throwing to other guys besides Harold Fannin Jr.,” Cabot said. “He targeted Harold 14 times yesterday. Nobody else was targeted more than four times.”
In an embarrassing 31-3 loss to the Bears, Sanders didn't score a single touchdown for only 177 passing yards. Not only that, but because of his predictable offensive pattern of majorly targeting Fanning Jr., he gave away 3 crucial interceptions. Chicago’s defensive unit also sacked him 5 times in the game.
In the 5 games played this season, the Browns quarterback’s passing efficiency hasn’t been up to par, with a disappointing 52.2%. Though he has also displayed great potential for a rookie, scoring 5 touchdowns for 946 passing yards. However, Cabot wasn't all critical. "Think about this. He just got thrown into the fire this year, and he is learning on the fly," the reporter added.

The Browns are already eliminated from the playoffs this season with a poor 3-11 record. With them still needing to play against the Bills, Steelers, and Bengals in the end, all eyes will be on Sanders. It will be interesting to see whether the rookie QB can replicate his brilliant performance in a 24-10 win against the Raiders.
Shedeur Sanders isn’t worrying about losing his job
Despite a poor outing and his position as the franchise quarterback constantly being questioned by the critics, Shedeur Sanders isn’t in any worry.
Following the Bears' loss, Sanders answered some questions from the media. It’s safe to say his answer was as straightforward as it gets about his future in the Browns as QB1.
“You know what league we're in? You could lose your job at any point in time. So you don’t play with fear. When you live and play in fear, you’re not being yourself,” Sanders said. “Whatever situation I’m in, I’m in. Whatever happens, happens.”
Even though he hasn’t been that consistent, Sanders has already broken some records as the Browns’ QB. After his MVP performance in Week 14 against the Titans, he became the first-ever Browns QB to score 3 passing TDs for 364 yards, along with a rushing score.
