Ty Simpson & Carnell Tate Among Top Stars to Visit Browns Ahead of 2026 Draft

The Cleveland Browns are in the midst of restructuring contracts and bringing in new players to improve the team for once and for all. And while the NFL Draft is almost two months away, prospect visits for the Browns have already begun.

And as per sources, three have already paid a visit.

According to NFL expert Tom Pelissero, Alabama Crimson Tide’s former quarterback Ty Simpson visited the Browns earlier this week.

“Former Alabama QB Ty Simpson is on a visit with the Browns, per sources. The consensus QB2 in this year’s NFL Draft, Simpson, is coming off a strong showing at the NFL combine. Cleveland owns the No. 6 and 24 picks,” he reported.

Simpson is one of the most sought after quarterback and is projected to be second to Fernando Mendoza. In the 2025 season, Simpson scored 28 touchdowns for 3,567 yards and was intercepted five times.

Given the lack of a strong starting quarterback in the Browns, who have the no.6 and no.24 pick, Simpson could be the key to an improved offensive unit.

But a good quarterback is only one side of the coin. The team suffered due to the lack of good wide receivers, too. In 2025, Jerry Juedy, the lead WR, managed 602 yards and two touchdowns.

And That Is Why a Visit From Arizona State Sun Devils’ Wide Receiver Jordyn Tyson Was a Significant One

As per a Thursday X post by John Sabol, Tyson met with the Browns on the same day.

“#Browns had Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson in for a visit today. He’s the brother of #Cavs guard Jaylon Tyson. Jaylon also stopped by the facility this afternoon. Jordyn is projected to drafted in the 1st Rd,” he wrote.

In the 2025 season, Tyson made 61 receptions and scored eight touchdowns. He amassed 711 yards for an average of 11.7. And for his brother, Jaylon Tyson is with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

And Tyson was not the only wide receiver prospect who met with the franchise. Carnell Tate, the Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver, also visited the Browns on Friday. Tate recorded 51 receptions for 875 yards, out of which nine were touchdowns.

The Browns have two opportunities to fix their offensive unit. But who will they choose? What do you think of these visits?
