Todd Monken Reveals Major Disappointment Despite Browns' Win Over Ravens

Todd Monken had plenty of reasons to celebrate after the Cleveland Browns defeated the Baltimore Ravens 13-10 in Week 6. Beating his former team made the victory even sweeter, helping Cleveland move to 4-2 and the top of the AFC North standings.

However, Monken's biggest disappointment had nothing to do with his team's performance. After finally securing a memorable divisional victory, the Browns coach simply didn't want the night to end.

Speaking after the game, Monken explained why he wanted to savour the moment before returning to the grind of an NFL season.

"I'm going to enjoy the night, and that's what you have to do in the NFL, is these are the nights that you don't ever want to end, because you know tomorrow it's on to the next game. And so I sit there in bed and you don't want the night to end. It's 10.30 and you're tired as hell and you want to be up another 15, 20, 30 minutes to enjoy it."

Monken knows how quickly the celebrations must end in professional football. The coach admitted that the following morning would bring offensive film study and preparations for the next opponent. Still, after a hard-fought win against familiar faces, he wanted a little more time to appreciate what his team had accomplished.

Browns Look to Extend Their AFC North Lead Against Titans

Cleveland now turns its attention to the Tennessee Titans, with an opportunity to improve its record to 5-2. The Browns currently sit atop the division, ahead of the Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers on tiebreakers.

Despite the victory, Monken acknowledged that Cleveland's offense still needs considerable improvement. A stronger performance against Tennessee would help prove the Browns can win more comfortably rather than relying on late-game heroics.

For now, Monken can enjoy a special victory before the next challenge arrives.
