Cleveland Browns ticket prices dropped sharply following the team’s decision to move forward without Shedeur Sanders as its QB1.

Multiple home games are now available for significantly less than they were earlier in the offseason. The movement is particularly notable given the excitement surrounding Sanders since Cleveland selected him in the fifth round.

Several Browns games had seen strong demand while the rookie remained a major storyline, but prices have since fallen across the schedule.

Podcaster Dave Grendzynski highlighted the drop in a September 6 post on X, pointing to significant changes across several Browns home games.

The Carolina Panthers game, for example, dropped from $55-$64 to $35, while the Pittsburgh Steelers matchup went from $88-$98 to $70. Baltimore fell from $58-$73 to $45, with Houston tickets available for as little as $19.

Todd Monken ultimately chose Deshaun Watson as the Browns’ Week 1 starter, leaving Shedeur Sanders as the backup after their offseason quarterback competition.

The decision came after Monken evaluated both quarterbacks throughout the offseason, training camp, preseason games, and joint practices. Watson’s experience ultimately won out despite the excitement surrounding Sanders.

Monken has maintained that the decision was based on what he believes gives Cleveland the best chance to win, rather than outside pressure.
