“that's not cheap”: NFL Fans angry at news about CeeDee Lamb's $500K House
Cedarian DeLeon Lamb’s life was not easy. In 2005, his family lost their house in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Devastated, they moved from Louisiana to Texas. The wide receiver who has found so much success since has become a topic of discussion over his house.
“Cowboys superstar WR CeeDee Lamb reportedly still lives in a very cheap $500K house just outside Dallas despite signing a $136 MILLION contract. He lives below his means and wants to set himself up for generational wealth. CeeDee is the definition of a class act,” Dov Kleiman shared in a June 27 X post.
The Dallas Cowboys receiver signed a four-year, $136 million contract extension in 2024. The Cowboys offered him a $38 million signing bonus, a record-high for a wide receiver. Lamb has received $100 million in guaranteed money.
The long-time Cowboys player was drafted by the franchise in 2020. He was a standout from the Oklahoma Sooners from 2017 to 2019, earning All-American honors.
In the 2025 season, he made 75 receptions from 117 targets for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns. This performance was reminiscent of his initial years with the Cowboys, unlike the breakout 135 receptions for 1,749 yards and 12 TDs in the 2023 season.
During his draft year, in an interview on the Rich Eisen Show, he talked about the natural calamity and how it affected him.
“I feel like I took life for granted before,” he said, as he lived through another one in 2010.
Lamb and his four siblings were raised by their mother, a medical assistant who worked tirelessly to provide for them. Lamb, a successful pro football player, now lives in Dallas. Yet, the post has ruffled some feathers.
Fans baffled over CeeDee Lamb’s house labeled as “cheap”
Under Dov Kleiman’s X post about CeeDee Lamb’s house price, fans banded together to question the post. They widely agree that a $500K house is not inexpensive.
“$500K down south LMAOOOO that’s not cheap at all. He smart tho considering he got no kids,” one fan commented.
“Since when is a 500K house considered cheap… LMAO!! (laughing emoji),” another commented similarly.
“Living in a half million home is not cheap lol. Also money has nothing to do with class,” one pointed out curtly.
One appreciative fan opined that Lamb should be a role model for rookies who have different values and approaches.
“He should teach a class for all the rookies who show up with 50 ponds of gold around their neck and 50 hangers-on to clothe feed and house,” the comment read.
“Man we in Texas, $500k OUTSIDE of Dallas, that house big as h***l (laughing emoji),” another commented on the size of this house.
