"Terrible QB" NFL Fans Dig Into Shedeur Sanders Over Pro Bowl Performance
Shedeur Sanders just cannot catch a break from criticism. He made his Pro Bowl debut on February 3 and landed in hot water.
Fans had already criticized the Browns QB for being selected in the Pro Bowl in the first place. And now they have crashed out even harder on him after his performance in the game.
For the 23-year-old, the game didn't start well as he threw an interception on the very first drive. In his defense, it wasn't his fault entirely. He dropped back and targeted Ja’Marr Chase, but the football bounced off Chase’s hands.
Chicago Bears safety Kevin Byard collected it for the interception. That turnover almost became a pick-six, but a penalty on the play wiped out the return score. Fans were quick to criticize, saying things like, "Yes way. What did you expect?"
Later in the game, Shedeur Sanders threw another interception. With the AFC in a red-zone/goal-to-go situation, Sanders’ pass was intercepted in the back corner of the end zone by NFC defender Nahshon Wright.
However, it wasn't all negative. He also recorded 2 touchdowns passes and a successful two-point conversion. The Browns QB talked about it to his brother, Shilo Sanders, who arrived a little late into the game.
"Bro, first drive, first pick. I'm like, I wish luck in life. I need every pass in the world to just figure it out. Brody, what I'm saying is, somebody put something on me, right? You know what it is? That ain't me!" he said, and the fans have been more critical about it.
NFL Fans Criticize Shedeur Sanders For Pro Bowl Interceptions
The interceptions have raised a lot of eyebrows once again on the former Colorado QB. "How TF did he even make the Pro Bowl? Y'all gotta come up with a better voting system than whoever gets the most retweets," a fan commented. Sanders wasn't the first choice, though.
The original choice was Drake Maye. But since he is going to the Super Bowl and Justin Herbert, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes were unable to play due to injuries or other commitments, Sanders got the call-up.
Another fan commented, "That’s what happens when you are invited into spaces where you don’t belong cuz it was your daddy that belonged there." This referred to his father, Deion Sanders. As a 2-time Super Bowl Champion and 8-time Pro Bowl selection, fans believe his father's record was a deciding factor.
One user went back to the 2025 season. "Someway this is Stefanski’s fault," trolling the fans who blamed Kevin Stefanski for Sanders' performance in the regular season.
"I keep telling people over and over and over and over and over and over and over that he’s a terrible, terrible, terrible QB... He’s a turnover machine even when he’s playing flag football. There’s a very good reason he had 10 INTs in 8 games. He’s awful," another comment read.
The numbers are not wrong there. He ranked third for the most intercepted passes by a quarterback when playing at most 8 games.
