Despite the Week 16 loss against the Bills, there is positive feedback coming for Shedeur Sanders for an NFL legend.

Legendary wide receiver Terrell Owens dropped some praise for the rookie QB. Initially, he talked about the issues with the offensive line, talking about Cam Robinson. However, one person brought up a comparison.

"Lol u wasn't tweeting when Dillon was playing with the same Line," they said. Owen was quick to reply. "Shedeur has done better and more with the same OL."

Gabriel recorded 19 sacks in 10 games with a passer rating of 80.8 with 937 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Shedeur Sanders, on the flip side, has recorded 15 sacks in only 6 games with a passer rating of 67.5 with 1,103 yards, 6 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.

The OL has not been the same, though. Take the Bears game, for instance. The Browns were missing four of their five Week 1 starting offensive linemen. Wyatt Teller (guard) and Jack Conklin (offensive tackle) were not active for the game. Ethan Pocic (center) was also out, forcing lineup shuffles up front.

Even against the Bills, when left in the second quarter after cutting his finger, Dillon Gabriel stepped in for a third-down play, where he was sacked for a 2-yard loss.

Even then, Shedeur Sanders did not throw Gabriel under the bus

In the post-game press conference, Sanders was asked about it. The Browns' QB1 gave a very wholesome answer in support of the former Browns' QB1.

"I did everything to come back because I didn’t want to put Dillon in a bad situation...When I was the backup, it' tough. It’s tough to play that role because you don’t get reps. I said, ‘my bad bro’ for putting you in that situation. It’s not ideal and I want him to be prepared for when he is out there."
