Another season ended without a Super Bowl for Josh Allen, yet the accolades keep pouring in. ESPN and the AP both ranked him as the NFL's best quarterback, but analyst Skip Bayless wasn't ready to hand him the top quarterback status.

Joe Burrow may be fourth in ESPN's quarterback rankings, but Skip Bayless believes he deserves to be much higher. The outspoken NFL analyst believes Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is the best quarterback in the league right now.

But the reality is quite different. Joe Burrow has been phenomenal recently, but he has been marred with injuries, which have derailed his seasons. On top of that, the Bengals haven't returned to the playoffs since 2022.

Meanwhile, Allen has stayed healthy and led the Bills to the playoffs every year. Bayless portrayed his recent playoff struggles as a failure, but that's not entirely accurate, according to Stathead Football.

In two playoff games in January, Allen delivered when it mattered the most. He threw for 556 passing yards, four touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Moreover, Allen played a key role in the Bills defeating the Jaguars. Although he made a critical mistake in the loss to the Broncos, he was instrumental to the Bills throughout the season.

Apart from Skip Bayless, many around the NFL have applauded Josh Allen for his knack for taking over games.

Buffalo’s offense has revolved around Josh Allen for seven years now, and the numbers explain why. Since his debut with the Bills, he has recorded at least 3,000 passing yards and 420 rushing yards. Back in 2024, he received the NFL MVP recognition.

PFN NFL analyst Ian Cummings released his top 100 quarterback rankings, with Allen claiming the top spot. Cummings added that no one comes close to him when it comes to impact play.

“He’s a kind of QB we may never see again: An alien runner with a rocket arm, and the operational intelligence to match,” said PFN analyst Ian Cummings about Allen.

That said, while his 80.3 QB Impact Score didn't lead the league in 2025, the four-time Pro Bowler did enough to get himself ranked at the top in every quarterback list.
