Amidst the search for a new head coach, Nick Pedone had a clear ask out of the Cleveland Browns for their recruitment process.

“I want winners. I want to win, I want to turn this thing around fast. I get so jealous watching these guys play in the playoffs... I have seen the Browns in playoffs in 2020 and 2023, but it’s not consistent. I'm so tired of losing. I need a next coach to come in here and just get serious.”

Stefanski joined the Browns in 2020 and instantly led them to the postseason for the first time in 17 years. He was awarded the Coach of the Year.

The 43-year-old accomplished that feat once again in 2023, but won just eight games and lost 26 in the next couple of seasons. 

Before that, the team hadn't made it to the playoffs in 18 years, the last before Stefanski was in 2002. And it's not impossible.

The Browns are to interview Mike McDaniel today 

According to Adam Shefter, Cleveland is going to interview him today. For the past few seasons, the Browns have struggled with constant quarterback issues. Deshaun Watson was ruled out of the entire season due to the recovery from an Achilles injury. 

While rookie Dillon Gabriel didn’t impress much, another rookie, Shedeur Sanders, replaced him and is looking like the starter QB for the next season. He has scored 7 touchdowns for 1400 passing yards in seven games. 

Under an offensive-minded genius like McDaniel, Sanders could flourish and make a big splash next season. With other marquee coaches like John Harbaugh also available in the coaching carousel, should the Browns go for McDaniel or weigh their options very carefully? Let us know in the comments!
