At the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback camp, suspense fills the air regarding their next starting quarterback. Shedeur Sanders finds himself as one of the four options. As Mary Kay Cabot predicted the winner of the quarterback competition, it did not sit well with Shilo.

“With my breaking news here that Deshaun Watson has taken the lead over Shedeur Sanders in the Browns QB competition and has the inside track to win it, I think they should declare him QB1 asap and let the 1st team offense start to cook,” Cabot wrote.

DeShaun Watson, Dillon Gabriel, Shedeur, and rookie Taylen Green are competing for the spot. The Bill Nunn Memorial Awardee voted for Watson to be the Browns QB1. Shedeur's brother, Shilo, did not take her opinion kindly and clapped back.

"This is to Mary Kay," said Shilo on Twitch on April 29. "If you're going to be a reporter, be a reporter and report facts. Whenever you have your opinion, and your opinion is always something hateful to Shedeur, then it makes it seem like it's an agenda that you have going on."

Under first-year head coach Todd Monken, Watson is reportedly ahead of Shedeur in the battle for the starting quarterback role. Watson emerged from the opening minicamp with what appeared to be an early grip on the job.

However, Monken is yet to make an official statement regarding the starter. He said he hopes to gain more clarity on the quarterback depth chart by the end of the June 9-11 minicamp before the team reconvenes for training camp in July.

Meanwhile, Cleveland.com's Cabot stirred the pot, claiming Shedeur has around six weeks to try and overtake the three-time Pro Bowler, Watson.

“Go make a sandwich, Mary," Shilo commented on Cabot's post on Instagram in Shedeur's defense.

Considering the financial commitment tied to Deshaun Watson, it makes sense for the Browns to determine what the veteran quarterback still brings to the table. Only then will they make a move toward Shedeur.

While the quarterback competition brews, Shilo got a reply from Cabot.

Cabot is taking the high road in response to Shilo Sanders’ remarks

On Thursday, April 30, Cabot was asked to respond to Shilo’s remarks, in which he asked her to make a sandwich. The analyst made it clear that she will not be engaging in a social media feud.

"I know there are so many women who have joined the football world, especially because of some of the things I’ve been able to do over the years, and I’m happy about that,” Cabot said.

As the fight for the QB1 spot intensifies, Shilo has reportedly deleted his comment from Instagram.

In the end, the competition is a balance between who brings proven reliability and future potential. Deshaun Watson brings stability thanks to his NFL experience and history of Pro Bowl-level production.

Shedeur Sanders, on the other hand, presents more long-term upside, but doubts prevail when it comes to efficiency.
