Shedeur Sanders Trade Rumors Gain Weight As Browns Fan Highlights Andrew Berry's History

Shedeur Sanders' future with the Cleveland Browns remains uncertain, and every week he spends on the bench brings fresh trade speculation. With Deshaun Watson currently leading the quarterback room, questions continue about whether Sanders will get a genuine opportunity in Cleveland.

However, there has been no definitive indication that general manager Andrew Berry intends to move the young quarterback. The latest rumors have gained traction after reports suggested Cleveland has no plans to trade Sanders, despite growing interest in his availability.

Zach Frydenlund, better known as Football Chopz, believes those denials could actually mean something different. The Browns fan pointed toward Berry's history of handling trade speculation, particularly surrounding former defensive star Myles Garrett.

"If Andrew Berry leaks that he's not going to trade a guy, your antenna should go up that he might trade said guy."

The comparison is particularly interesting given Cleveland's handling of Garrett. The organization previously insisted the defensive superstar was staying before eventually trading him to the Los Angeles Rams in June 2026. Frydenlund believes that history gives Browns fans reason to question the latest reassurances surrounding Sanders.

Still, the situations aren't identical, and Berry's past decision doesn't guarantee another trade. For now, Sanders' future remains uncertain as Cleveland weighs its options at quarterback.

Shedeur Sanders' Recent Move Adds Another Twist to His Browns Future

Sanders recently hired his first agent, a development that has fueled further speculation about his NFL future and potential desire for greater opportunities. With limited playing time in Cleveland, a fresh start elsewhere could become an option if the right opportunity emerges.

However, the Browns still have reasons to retain their young quarterback, particularly with long-term questions surrounding the position. Until Berry makes a definitive move, Sanders' future will remain a talking point as the trade deadline approaches.
