Shedeur Sanders Suffers Horrible Fate as Bears Steamroll Browns During Gameweek 15
The Cleveland Browns got handed a 3-31 humiliation from the Bears in Week 15. Shedeur Sanders' performance dipped a lot, but not all the blame is on him.
The Brown QB recorded 18-of-35 for 177 yards, zero touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. The Bears sacked him five times. Two of his three interceptions came in the third quarter and allowed the Bears to break the game wide open. Ironically, one cannot blame Sanders alone for both of them.
On the first play after halftime (the start of Cleveland’s second possession in the 3rd quarter), Sanders’ short pass intended for TE Harold Fannin Jr. was tipped and intercepted by Bears LB D’Marco Jackson near the 20-yard line. On the next drive, the former Colorado QB attempted a deep pass to Jerry Jeudy in the end zone.
The pass looked accurate, but bounced off the hands of Jeudy and into the arms of Jaylon Johnson in coverage. Nine plays later, the Bears converted that into a touchdown, thanks to a 17-yard run from D’Andre Swift. The third one could be blamed on Shedeur Sanders.
In the first part of the 4th quarter, he threw deep again, another pass intended for Fannin. But DB C.J. Gardner-Johnson intercepted it and returned 32 yards into the Browns’ territory.
Reporters asked Kevin Stefanski about the interceptions in the post-game press conference. “We know that team is good at taking the ball away, particularly intercepting the ball. So we'll learn from those,” he replied.
Sanders did get the Browns into scoring position on their final drive of the game. He completed eight passes and only 18 on the day, and got them inside the 10-yard line. But the Bears sacked him twice to force the turnover and end the game.

But there’s something to learn from every loss, and Sanders has that attitude.
Shedeur Sanders learned from the Bears game
In the post-game press conference, a reporter reminded Sanders that this was a tough defense and asked, “What do you think they did to create the pressure to get to the three or seven?”
The Browns QB answered, praising the Bears' defensive scheme, and said that he enjoyed playing against them because “it was definitely a little challenge.
He added, “So I look forward to learning from that and look forward to understanding exactly how things was on film and just be able to learn from it.”
Talking about his biggest takeaway from the game, he said it was: decompress, chill, and be able to learn from it.
Let us know your thoughts on the game and Shederu Sanders’ performance.
