Shedeur Sanders Shatters Tom Brady Record with Latest NFLPA Announcement

Few players have managed to rewrite NFL history before fully establishing themselves on the field, and Shedeur Sanders has done exactly that. The Cleveland Browns quarterback just achieved a milestone.

The latest NFLPA (National Football Players Association) announced that Sanders earned a record-breaking $17.7 million in group licensing income during the 2025 season.

"Since Sanders was drafted in April 2025, he's shattered the record deal ($9.8 million) deal set by NFL legend and seven-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady," wrote Devon POV Mason of 'The Shadow League'.

Before Sanders, Tom Brady held the record for highest NFLPA group licensing in a single year, earning $9.5 million during the 2021-22 season. However, it was shattered by Sanders, who earned $17.7 million in his rookie season.

The number is very significant because group licensing revenue comes from products and partnerships involving multiple NFL players, including jerseys, trading cards, video games, and marketing appearances.

It does not include Sanders' personal endorsements; his overall off-field earnings are separate.

Many questioned whether the Colorado standout would maintain the popularity after sliding to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

A year later, Sanders proved that his brand extends far beyond the football field, while he continues competing for a larger role in the Cleveland Browns.

After his rise, Sanders' father, Deion Sanders, has sent a message on parenthood.

Coach Prime Delivers a Lesson Bigger Than Football

Shedeur Sanders' rise from college football star to NFL QB has been accompanied by financial success. Yet for his father and mentor, Deion Sanders, the conversation is more than just about money.

"You've got to be authentically You! You don't need a costume, a mask, mascara or the need to trict or treat," wrote Deion Sanders on X. "You just need to be unapologetically You! Real is winning now & real resonates will all. Be You baby be You!"

The timing only made Coach Prime's message stand out even more. After Shedeur Sanders' NFLPA earnings figures became public, Deion Sanders took a moment to celebrate both his son and Travis Hunter, two players whose journeys have been anything but straightforward.

The message was directed towards Sanders' transition from leading Colorado to beginning his NFL career with the Browns. For Coach Prime, Shedeur's $17 million achievement is simply another step in the journey.
