Shedeur Sanders Sends Cryptic Message Amidst Family Drama

While Shedeur Sanders’ brother might’ve wished well for him, the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback appears to be exhausted from the drama that followed Shilo’s comments.

On May 3, Sanders sent a clear message on X, redirecting himself towards his priorities.

“Let’s focus on what truly matters in life, and bring others along so we can elevate each other mentally, physically, and spiritually.”

Despite its vagueness, this is a much-needed reminder for the 24-year-old who, according to the latest reports, could be sidelined in his sophomore year with the Browns. And Sanders’ older brother Shilo, one of his biggest cheerleaders, refuses to accept the possibility.

It all started when Browns’ insider Mary Kay Cabot said that 30-year-old Deshaun Watson, who is returning to the field after a long absence, should be declared the starting QB for this season.

“I think they should declare him QB1 asap and let the 1st team offense start to cook,” Cabot wrote in a X post on April 29.

Cabot’s comments were a follow-up to her report, published on the same day as her post, on the Browns’ Berea minicamp and how each QB- Watson, Sanders, and Dillon Gabriel- performed.

While both Sanders and Watson led with most first-team snaps, Cabot campaigned for Watson and reported that he is on his way to being declared the QB1.

“Deshaun Watson emerged from the Browns’ voluntary minicamp last week with an edge over Shedeur Sanders...and has the inside track to be named the Browns QB1, sources tell cleveland.com.”

As this report sent waves through the Browns’ community, Shilo, the former Colorado Buffaloes safety, replied to Cabot with “Go make a sandwich, Mary,” on Instagram.

Shilo met with backlash over his comment and deleted it within hours, but Pilar Sanders, Shedeur and Shilo’s mother, came to her son’s defense.

“I stand with my sons!” Pilar wrote on Instagram.

While no one anticipated that Cabot’s report would snowball into this messy affair, Shedeur appears to have moved past it and is focusing on what matters the most.

Shedeur Sanders Graduated From The University of Colorado

As of May 2, Sanders graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in sociology and a 3.9 GPA. And Cabot reported his return to Colorado for the occasion.

“He walked across the stage Saturday during commencement exercises, graduating with a degree in sociology,” she wrote on May 2. “The school posted a video on X of Sanders celebrating with hundreds of other graduates on their big day.”

With the offseason at its peak, Sanders and the Browns are gearing up for practice to take on this season. And the race for QB 1 is still in full swing.
