Shedeur Sanders Robbed of Chance to Work With $11M QB He Was Once Thankful For

When Shedeur Sanders walked into the Cleveland Browns' training camp in the 2025 season, he had a QB who guided him. Unfortunately he won't have the guidance anymore.

The divisional rivals of the Browns, the Baltimore Ravens, has signed Tyler “Snoop” Huntley, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus. ESPN Insider, Adam Schefter, took to X on March 7 to report that:

"Tyler “Snoop” Huntley is signing a two-year deal worth up to $11 million to return to the Baltimore Ravens, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus."

In March 2024, Huntley first signed a one-year contract with the Browns. He competed for a roster spot but did not stay long-term and was eventually released before the season. But his journey with the NFL franchise did not end there.

The Browns signed Huntley again on Aug 5, 2025, during training camp. But then again, they released him on Aug 24, 2025, before the regular season. In the preseason, he played 3 games and completed 17/22 of his passes. He threw for 129and 1 touchdown.

After that, the Ravens signed him to their practice squad as their third-string quarterback. He even started two games when Lamar Jackson was injured. In the 2025 regular season, he had a passer rating of 103.1 with 426 yards and 2 touchdowns in 5 games.

And now he is going to be there for two more years. Tyler Huntley has played 6 seasons in the NFL and has a ton of experience, some of which he even shared with Shedeur Sanders. That was something the Browns QB even expressed gratitude for.

Shedeur Sanders Was Thankful for Tyler Huntley

Huntley developed a close bond with Sanders and guided him in the training camp.“I would say I’m thankful that Huntley here,” Sanders said during the preseason.

He continued, “He gave me a perspective of quarterback that I feel like I needed … I feel like God’s sent him here for a reason, honestly, just to talk and to be like a mentor towards me and his career, also.” And that was important.

Shedeur Sanders was the backup QB of the Browns before Dillion Gabriel picked up a concussion against the Ravens. And Huntley didn't stop with advice after he left the team.

After guiding the Ravens to a victory against the Packers in Week 17, Huntley told reporters he intended to reach out to Sanders before the Browns’ crucial game against the Steelers the next day.
