Shedeur Sanders Pushes Back on Kevin Stefanski Narrative Amid Uncertain Browns Future

After another disappointing season, the Cleveland Browns sit in fourth in the AFC North with a 4-12 record. So, when the rookie QB Shedeur Sanders was asked about coach Kevin Stefanksi's future as Cleveland’s coach, his answer was simple.

“I don’t think we listen to the external stuff. He’s our coach. We view him as the same as we view him the first week. You know, we got the utmost respect for him," Sheduer Sanders told the media.

"And yeah, I think that’s more media stuff, that’s more outside noise than inside," Sanders added.

Although the Browns’ defensive unit has been stellar, Stefanski failed to manage the bizarre quarterback situation. First, they traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals, then rookie Dillon Gabriel got injured, and now Sanders has also shown some glimpses of his potential.

And at the end of the day, Kevin Stefanski has delivered just 7 wins in the last two seasons. However, Stefanski may not be the only one on the ropes in Cleveland.

Sanders finished his answer with a statement that puzzled everyone. "I mean, half of us don’t know if we gonna be here next year, you know what I’m saying?" he added. That being said, the rookie is grateful.

Shedeur Sanders is thankful for the opportunity at the Browns

After rookie Dillon Gabriel got injured in Game Week 11, Sheduer Sanders replaced him and impressed enough to stay as the starter going into Game Week 18.

In a recent interview, the 23-year-old explained how grateful he was to have gotten an opportunity to play for the Browns. “I’ll say I’m truly thankful. I’m thankful that I was able to come here,” Sanders said.

Deion Sanders’ son then stated how he didn’t take anything for granted and was constantly developing to make himself better. “And sometimes I think about those days, so I don’t take anything for granted. I think overall, the communication with the coaches and everything been really good, and I’m just thankful to just be here in general.”

Despite his 2-5 record going into the final game against the Bengals, Sanders’ numbers have been impressive to say the least. In 7 games, he has scored 7 touchdowns for 1289 passing yards.

Although the rookie has conceded 10 interceptions and has been sacked 17 times, he has shown the potential to become a future great. What do you think about Sanders’ future in Cleveland? Let us know in the comments!
