Shedeur Sanders' Offseason Plans Revealed as Rookie QB Ready for Next Chapter
Shedeur Sanders was on the hot seat for the entirety of the 2025-26 NFL season, but he is finally relaxing in the offseason.
The Browns QB talked about his offseason plans and gave light on what his plans are moving forward. The biggest takeaway is that he wants to spend some time with his family.
"Of course, first and foremost, I gotta go see Shilo [his brother].Go hang out with him for a bit. I heard he got some Christmas gifts for me. So I'll go see about that probably tomorrow or something."

Sanders' home was robbed soon after his debut game. Addressing that, he hinted that he didn’t get much for Christmas and even said that fans could send him gifts. He would also love to see what his older brother Shilo has for him.
Shedeur Sanders added, "Then, after that, really just be with the family… then get back to work. And connect with the guys [his teammates] earlier… just overall getting better. Looking at everything that happened this year will transpire. And going into next year with a fresh mind."
Shedeur's father, Deion Sanders regualry visited him during games, but the quarterback would also love to meet his younger sister, Shelomi Sanders, and mother, Pilar Sanders. He also has an elder half-brother, Deion Sanders Jr., and an elder half-sister, Deiondra Sanders.
What about the 2026-27 season of Shedeur Sanders?
A reporter asked the Browns quarterback about his future with the team. He didn't say anything directly, but he did promise, "A lot of people want to see me fail and it ain't gonna happen."
Sanders had a passer rating of 68.1 with 1,400 yards, 7 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions in 8 games this season. He also rushed for 169 yards and also recorded 1 rushing touchdown as well. The season was full of ups and downs for him.
He did not get any first-team reps this season, but he also became the first Browns rookie QB in the Super Bowl era with 300+ passing yards, 2+ passing touchdowns, and a rushing score in one game. But also on the other hand, he had a QBR of 18.9, the lowest for any Browns QB with at least six starts.
Browns' GM was asked about Sanders, to which he called in work in progress. "We’re going to do our work on the quarterback market. It’s too important of a position, and it’s something that has to be solidified," he added.
