The Titans managed to find a way to knock Shedeur Sanders off his high horse despite scoring four touchdowns.

When the Browns lost against the Titans, Shedeur Sanders was mocked by Titans players as they used his trademark celebration against him.

Since his day at Colorado Buffaloes football, Sanders has celebrated by raising his wrist, as if checking a watch. He did that throughout the game against the Titans.

However, in the fourth quarter, with 11:07 remaining, Sanders threw a short pass to running back Dylan Sampson. Sampson lost control of the ball, and it was recovered by Titans linebacker Cedric Gray. The turnover set up a crucial Tennessee touchdown just a few plays later.

After the recovery, Gray and several of his teammates ran to the end zone and mocked the rookie quarterback by performing Sanders’ signature watch check celebration. Not the first time that this has happened with the Browns’ QB. 

When he made his NFL debut against the Ravens, Kyle Hamilton gave Sanders the very first sack of his NFL career. After that, he did the wrist celebration.

This time, Sanders had a response. The QB threw a late touchdown pass with 1:03 left in the 4th quarter. It was a 7-yard pass to Harold Fannin Jr. that made the score 31-29. But before he went to celebrate with his teammates, he took a detour to track down Titans’ Jeffrey Simmons and hit his celebration right in front of him.

Shedeur Sanders named the starting QB despite Browns loss

Thanks to the performance against the Titans Shedeur is now the first Browns player throw for at least 300 yards and have at least three touchdown passes and one rushing score in the same game.

It was a performance so impressive that, Kevin Stefanski announced that he will be the starting quaterback for the team in the coming games for the rest of the season.

"I think [Sanders] has constantly and consistently gotten better in each one of these games and how he's approached this game," Stefanski said. "He's been working very hard. So, I feel good about where his development is heading. He knows there are always going to be plays that he can be better and those type of things, but he's very intentional about getting better each and every game he's out there."

Starting with a compeletion rate that didn't cross 30, to now having no game with less than 50%, Sanders has come a long way. He is a great choice for the starting position, don't you think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
