Shedeur Sanders Leaves Lamar Jackson & Jalen Hurts Behind in Surprising Pro Bowl Twist
After just his fourth start in the NFL this season, Shedeur Sanders has just overtaken a season and a Super Bowl MVP.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Shedeur Sanders ranked 10th in the votes for the Pro Bowl in the quarterback spot.
Going by that, Shedeur Sanders has left both two-time MVP Lamar Jackson and current Super Bowl-winning QB Jalen Hurts behind. Even Jue Burrow and Justin Herbert could not get past the rookie.
And while it might be a surprise for some, let's look at the numbers for the last four games. Ever since Shedeur started against the Raiders, he has 946 passing yards and 5 touchdowns. At the same time, Jackson had 961 yards and 3 touchdowns, while Hurts had 934 yards and 6 touchdowns in thier last 5 games.
It's interesting to see Shedeur Sanders providing the same level of output as Jackson, since he declined a position in the Ravens squad as backup to the MVP.
And despite troubles with the Browns, Shedeur Sanders is learning from losses
The 3-31 beating from the Bears was a big hit on Sanders. They forced three interceptions and even sacked him 5 times. But the rookie is taking this as a learning experience.
“I think in every situation it’s always gonna be things that you wanna work on, things that you wanna get better. So I think that’s where I’m headed. You know I’m just in a learning and understanding phase of this game and how things are,” he told reporters.
Shedeur Sanders could only record 18 of 35 passes for 177 yards, zero touchdowns.
Do you think Shedeur deserves to be in the Pro Bowl? Let us know in the comments.
