Shedeur Sanders Hits Back With 4-Word Message After Old Speeding Clips Re-Emerge

Apr 13, 2026, 3:12 PM CUT

Shedeur Sanders is gearing up for his sophomore year with the Cleveland Browns. But his debacles before he joined the league have resurfaced online.

On X, Dov Kleiman reposted almost a year-old footage of Sanders being pulled over by cops for allegedly driving at 101 mph late at night in June 2025. At the time, he was 23 and a rookie with the Browns.

But as his critics rushed to call him out and flooded social media with comments, Sanders replied to the post.

“Slow day in the office,” Sanders commented on the post.

However, that incident was just a part of many speeding offenses. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reportedly pulled Sanders over for driving at 91 mph in a 65 mph zone days before the 101 mph violation.

Sanders was fined $150, which turned into $249 after he failed to make the payment before the deadline. His passivity escalated the matter towards a court appearance in Strongsville.

Sanders, however, acknowledged his mistakes and stated that he’s learned his lesson.

“I made some wrong choices, and I've got to own up to them. You know, I've made some not great choices. I learned,” Sanders said back then.

In the past year, the QB has learned many lessons about living a public life. He has spent the time off improving himself for the upcoming one.

Shedeur Sanders’ Prep for a Future With the Browns

Sanders’ rookie season was no smooth sailing statistically, and spectators were polarized by his personality from day one. After playing in eight games and starting in seven, Sanders ended the season with seven touchdowns, 1,400 yards and ten interceptions.

So, to prepare for this season, Sanders has been training with his private QB coach, Darrell Colbert Jr.

He was also back at the University of Colorado, his alma mater, training with his father, Deion Sanders, the program's head coach.

The Browns began their offseason training program on 7 April under head coach Todd Monken at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus. And Sanders was present, preparing for the QB1 competition in Cleveland.

The Browns have three quarterbacks right now: Deshaun Watson, Dillon Gabriel and Sanders. And the team might add another in the draft, per reports.

The chatter around him over the Browns QB1 competition keeps getting messier with each passing, and this clip added more to it.
