Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders made a special visit to two East Cleveland schools on Tuesday with a heartwarming surprise for the students.

Sanders helped distribute 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to students at W. H. Kirk Middle School and Caledonia Elementary School. He also spent time signing items, giving high-fives and sharing hugs with the children.

The 24-year-old quarterback partnered with the East Cleveland City School District, Pizza Hut’s BOOK IT! program and Chase Bank for the initiative. Sanders also wrote “Be Legendary” on one student’s backpack during the visit.

The gesture gave Sanders an opportunity to connect with the Cleveland community away from the football field. It also showed another side of the Browns quarterback as he continues settling into his new home.

Shedeur Sanders continues to adjust to life as a Browns quarterback while finding ways to connect with the city.

The rookie has already generated significant attention since Cleveland selected him in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft. His role remains centered on football, but his presence in the community has given fans another reason to follow his journey.

Sanders will now turn his attention back to his work with the Browns as the regular season continues.
