Still, he’s shown flashes of his potential, throwing for 2,351 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions while completing nearly 60 percent of his passes.

On the other side, Sanders has had to stay patient in Cleveland. The fifth-round pick out of Colorado and the son of Hall of Famer Deion Sanders is coming off one of his best games yet, completing 16 of 25 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers. Through limited action, he’s put up 405 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions on the year.

For both rookies, this Sunday represents something more than just another game. It’s a reminder of how far they’ve come from joint workouts and college dreams to starting in the NFL.
