Shedeur Sanders Drops Injury Update as Conversation with Brother Shilo Goes Viral
Shedeur Sanders shone despite the Browns losing 29-31 to the Titans. He threw for 364 passing yards with three passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown. Now, he is the only rookie besides Joe Burrow to have recorded a single game with 350+ passing yards, at least 3 passing, and 1 rushing TD.
Naturally, a lot of praise came his way. Yet, one moment from the game went viral, and it wasn't any of the throws or touchdowns. Sanders suffered a slight wardrobe malfunction on live television replay. Besides fans debating about it on the internet, even his brother Shilo couldn't resist teasing him.
Denying the speculations, Shedeur Sanders clarified that it was actually tape to help mitigate the effects of a back injury. “You forgot I have a back injury, right? So, I get my back taped. But that is crazy that it did look like that, that's funny though!” Sander's said.
He was first added to the injury report on October 25, 2025, ahead of his team’s Week 8 game (vs. New England Patriots) because of a back injury. The Browns ruled him out for that game. With a bye in Week 9, the hope was that he would be ready to return to the field in Week 10. But then Coach Stefansaki announced that Sanders is “still dealing with the back injury but getting better.”

Shedeur Sanders finally returned in Week 11 after Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion. Sheuder Sanders made his NFL debut in his place. In the game against Baltimore, he went 4-of-16 for 47 yards with an interception and also took a few hits. Since then, QB has gradually improved, but things haven't been smooth for the Browns.
Shedeur Sanders’ Missing Teammates Could Spell More Trouble
The Cleveland Browns announced that center Ethan Pocic and running back Jerome Ford were placed on injured reserve. Ford (shoulder injury) had not been a primary starter this season, but he appeared in 13 games with 24 carries for 73 yards. His loss will take the depth out of the team, but Pocic's absence will hurt Sanders more.
In the game against the Tennessee Titans, Pocic went down late in the game with what was initially described as a calf injury. The next day, team medical updates confirmed that Pocic suffered a torn Achilles tendon, a serious, season-ending injury. This season, he played 826 offensive snaps, all at center, ranking 8th among all centers in total snaps and 12th overall in performance.
He logged 518 pass-block snaps and 308 run-block snaps, allowing just 2 sacks, 3 QB hits, and 14 total pressures on the season, while committing only 2 penalties, which ranked among the best at his position. Now that Sanders will be up against some big defences in the coming weeks, he is going to miss him.
