Shedeur Sanders Drops Cryptic Post Amidst Questions Over His Professional Conduct
Shedeur Sanders is pushing back against his critics. The Cleveland Browns quarterback has shared a cryptic post on X amid recent questions about his professional conduct and work ethic.
As experts and fans debate about Sanders' shot at becoming QB1 on the Browns' 2026 roster, the 24-year-old seems to be focusing on shutting out the noise.
“Learn to value the opinions of those who care about you, not the noise from everyone else,” the former Colorado Buffaloes star posted on X.
The Athletic's Jason Lloyd shared insights on the extent of the criticism about his conduct while appearing on 92.3 The Fan.
“Enough people have said things like, ‘doesn’t watch a ton of film. Doesn’t really know how to watch film. Had to sort of be shown how to watch film. Doesn’t know what he’s looking at on the field. Doesn’t know when he’s hot. All this stuff, and people just lost their minds over it,” said the insider.
In his rookie season, Sanders threw the ball 212 times and connected on 120 of those attempts. The QB recorded 1,400 yards while having seven touchdowns.
The sophomore season for the young QB will reveal a lot. Already named a Pro Bowler in his rookie season, the expectations are only going to rise from here on out.
Shedeur Sanders' future with the Browns
While the debate about Sanders rages on, the quarterback may be closer to landing the QB1 spot than many people think.
Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot said that after Sanders' performance with the team late in the regular season, Dillion Gabriel's position on the team may be in jeopardy.
“If they bring in another guy, then I think they would be open to trading Dillon Gabriel. So, I think that's something to watch for over the next week,” Cabost said as per The Sporting News.
“If they can get something for Dillon, maybe they've seen enough of him. And, maybe Todd Monken has seen enough of him," Cabot added.
The Browns are reportedly looking to utilize one of their two first-round picks to bring in another quarterback. However, only time will tell where Shedeu Sanders stands when the roster is finalized.
