Shedeur Sanders Downplays Outside Opinions as Franchise QB Debate Continues

With questions surrounding his ability as a quarterback, clips of his father's reaction and more, Shedeur Sanders has finally addressed questions about his time with the Browns.

During a media session on Thursday, Sanders gave a direct answer to shut down outside opinions.

“I can’t think about other people’s opinions or how they view me. I know the teams we go against definitely respect me and the passing game, for sure. I can’t be accountable for somebody else’s decisions.”

There's been a lot of talk about Sanders throwing interceptions in the last few weeks. His latest interception against the Steelers brought his total to seven. From analysts calling it his biggest flaw to fans watching Deion Sanders' disappointed face after his last interception, his picks were becoming a big focus.

Outside of interceptions, Sanders has done a decent job, racking up 8 scrimmage touchdowns and over 1200 passing yards, having started just six games this season. This number could have been higher had Sanders taken the starting job earlier in the season. With Dillon Gabriel's injury opening the way, he hasn't looked back.

And Shedeur Sanders knows how to keep the noise out

After the debut against the Ravens, Sanders faced a lot of criticism. However, he bounced back with a touchdown against the Raiders.

"Just staying consistent, taking what they give me. Whenever we get off rhythm, get back on rhythm, you know, get back on track. And I think that’s the next part of my game I’m trying to evolve, is whenever either we’re stagnant, or some adversity comes, being able to get back on track."

Going up against the Bengals next, Shedeur Sanders will have it all to prove. The final game of the season could determine whether he becomes the starter for next season.
