Shedeur Sanders Catches Deion Sanders Off Guard During Offseason

Shedeur Sanders just gave his father a surprise he won't forget. The Colorado quarterback returned to Boulder during the offseason. His appearance at a team facility caught Coach Prime completely off guard.
Shedeur Sanders returned to Boulder, Colorado, and surprised his father at a training session. The Cleveland Browns quarterback played his football under his father for the Buffaloes.
Deion, visibly surprised, embraced his son and the two began to talk.

Shedeur Sanders had a successful career in Boulder, Colorado. The quarterback played two seasons for the Buffaloes in 2023 and 2024.
Through his two years at Colorado, Sanders had 7,364 yards, 64 touchdowns, and played 24 games. Sanders also has a 71.8% completion percentage, which is a record for D1 college football, as per Sports Reference.
The Colorado Buffaloes retired the No. 2 worn by Sanders. However, this time the Colorado alumnus returned to his old stomping ground, just to surprise his father and former football coach Deion Sanders.
How did Shedeur Sanders do in his first NFL season?
After having one of the best individual seasons at Colorado, Shedeur Sanders declared for the NFL draft in 2025.
Sanders was drafted as the 144th overall pick in round five by the Cleveland Browns. Sanders joined a stacked quarterback room of Deshaun Watson and Dillon Gabriel.
Dillon Gabriel was named the starting QB, given that Watson was recovering from his Achilles injury. Gabriel suffered a concussion in week 11 against the Ravens, which saw Sanders get a shot at the QB spot.
Sanders played eight games and recorded 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns. Sanders also earned his first Pro Bowl nomination in 2025.
There is still no clear indication who the starting QB will be for the Browns. Could it be Shedeur Sanders?
