Shedeur Sanders and Jerry Jeudy Relationship Takes Fresh Turn as Browns' WR Gets Honest Over Rookie QB

After the historic performance against the Titans, Shedeur Sanders will continue as the starting QB for the rest of the season. Since then, there have been varying reactions. While some fans were happy, some were not, and some even believed it to be a setup for the rookie.

But amidst all this, Sanders has found support in a teammate he was not happy with a few games ago: Jerry Jeudy. Cleveland 19 News reporter Ashly Holder shared a video of the Browns WR talking about Sanders taking the starting role.

Jeudy said that it is a moment to build together. “You know, it's good just to have one guy you can create that chemistry with. Shedeur is going to finish out the season, so it's a good time to just build and consistently learn and build together,” he replied.

Jeudy talking about chemistry and learning, and building together with the former Colorado QB, is music to the ears of the Browns fans. This means that the two of them have put aside the differences that arose during the 49ers game and are looking to the future.

That's because things looked different during the 26-8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Cameras caught Jerry Jeudy and Shedeur Sanders having a heated exchange on the sideline while reviewing a play. They discussed a pass in which Jeudy had created separation downfield, but Sanders (from Jeudy’s POV) overthrew, missing a potential big gain.

As they looked at the play on the tablet, Jeudy grew animated and clapped his hands in frustration. This led Sanders to stand up and respond. A teammate eventually stepped in to separate the two. But since then, things have slowed down. Jeudy addressed it, saying that he would have talked to Sanders off camera and that “Stuff like that happens. Me and Shedeur good, everything good."

HC Stefanski said there are disagreements in a family and, “We talk about it, so not worried about it.” Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders addressed it, saying, “We resolved that. We’re not going to speak on that.” Thankfully, that resolution between the pair showed in the game against the Titans.

That Chemistry Between Shedeur Sanders and Jerry Jeudy

Sure, the Browns lost the game 29-31 to the Tennessee Titans, but there were positives for them in that game. Shedeur Sanders, throwing for 364 yards and 3 touchdowns with 1 rushing TD, was one of them. But another positive moment for the Browns’ fans was the teamwork the duo showcased.

With 2:47 left in the second quarter, the Browns' QB threw a 60-yard pass to the WR. Jeudy, without fail, caught the football and carried it past the touchline, giving the Browns a 17-14 lead before halftime. After that, both of them went down on one knee and bumped heads as a sign of mutual respect.

Unless either player changes teams, the duo will have the chance to grow in the coming seasons as well. Jeudy signed a three-year contract extension with the Browns worth about $58 million total, including $41 million guaranteed. It will expire in 2027. Sanders signed a four-year rookie contract with the Browns after being selected 144th overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. So he's locked in till 2029.

So do you see Shedeur Sanders and Jerry Jeudy building a strong offense for the Browns in the coming years? Let us know in the comments.
