Sam Darnold Has a Chance to Do What Josh Allen & Lamar Jackson Never Did
The Seattle Seahawks starter, Sam Darnold, joined alongside some of the biggest names in the NFL today, including Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, and Baker Mayfield, in 2018.
Although the 28-year-old might not have a successful career like them, he can accomplish a feat that they couldn’t.
After their smashing 41-6 victory against the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle will collide with the Rams for the NFC Championship. Darnold is just one win away from making his first-ever Super Bowl appearance and two wins away from the elusive Lombardi trophy.
If that happens, he will also beat Jackson, Allen, and Mayfield to the Super Bowl. Jackson has spent eight seasons with Baltimore, and although he earned a couple of MVP awards, he has yet to win the Super Bowl.
Insane: Sam Darnold will really be the first quarterback in the 2018 draft class to win a Super Bowl.

That draft includes Baker Mayfield, Lamar Jackson, and Josh Allen.

Allen’s story is quite similar to Jackson's, coming close multiple times in eight seasons with the Bills. He also became the MVP last season, but the Super Bowl win still evades him. So Darnold stands to make quite the resurgence if he wins, and he's got his teammates behind him.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba Shows Trust in Sam Darnold
Sam Darnold will get a huge confidence boost after Jaxon Smith-Njigba provided his support.
Ahead of the Seahawks' all-important NFC Championship game against the Rams, the league-leading wide receiver said this about Darnold.
"The most confidence you can have in a person. He shows it time and time again. You know, just to come out and keep swinging," Smith-Njigba.
The duo has been two of the most important players for the Seahawks. While the 28-year-old has scored 25 touchdowns for 4048 passing yards, Smith-Njigba has scored 10 receiving touchdowns for 1793 yards.
As per Adam Schefter, Darnold will receive a pain-killing injection ahead of the game due to a lingering oblique injury. He and Drew Lock split reps at practice last week.
