Sam Darnold might go down in history as one of the best comeback stories in the history of the NFL.

Some people are still doubting the Seattle Seahawks' quarterback even after he has won the Super Bowl. But Darnold is not holding back.

He clapped back at the haters from the Seahawks Super Bowl Parade.

"A lot of people, you know, didn't believe in me, but it didn't matter because the ones that are close believed in me, including y'all. I appreciate y'all so much."

From fans to experts, many doubted whether Darnold could lead the Seahawks to victory. Take Emmanuel Acho, for example: he said that he does not trust the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl because of their quarterback, Sam Darnold. Yet here we are.

He then thanked Jody Allen, John Schneider, and Mike McDonald, saying, "I appreciate the belief y'all had in me for signing me last this past year. And last but certainly not least, these players, man, for believing in me. You know, I wouldn't be here without these guys. This defense, man. Hey, can we give it up one more time for this defense? Y'all."

For years, Darnold kept going around teams, from the New York Jets to the Carolina Panthers. And then from there to the San Francisco 49ers and then the Minnesota Vikings, where he did put up considerable performance that impressed the Seahawks. And now that he has won the Super Bowl, critics have started apologizing.

Emmanuel Acho defended the QB after Puka Nauca posted a laughing emoji next to Sam Darnold's name on X, "Come on, Puka. We can’t be laughing at Sam Darnold right now. Laugh at him next season if you want to. But on the day when Sam Darnold’s a Super Bowl champion and Puka, you are not… now is not the time to laugh..." Acho said.

But Many are still not giving Sam Darnold his Flowers

For some, Sam Darnold winning the Super Bowl does not put an end to doubts over him. On one of the episodes of First Take after Super Bowl LX, Ryan Clark said that he would take many other NFC QBs ahead of Darnold.

"I take Stafford, Hurts, Purdy, Mayfield, Love; they all win a Super Bowl with this Seattle Seahawks team right now. I take Williams, I take Daniels, Williams and Daniels more upside than Sam Darnold."

Not only did he say that they would all win the Super Bowl with the current Seahawks team, but he also added," If they're the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, they beat the New England Patriots worse than they won with Sam Darnold."
