Los Angeles Rams’ star receiver Puka Nacua's brother came into the spotlight for an apparent theft.

Samson Nacua and Trey Rose were arrested in ‌December for allegedly taking Lakers forward Adou Thiero’s car without his consent. Well, the controversy has now taken an interesting twist. 

As per LASD’s West Hollywood Station’s report to ABC7, it was all a misunderstanding. Samson believed it was his brother Puka’s car. The confusion arose due to the latter owning a similar colour and model that was the same as Thiero's vehicle.

As per Samson Nacua's attorneys, Jason Lampert and Michael Goldstein, “This matter arose from a misunderstanding involving a vehicle and was promptly dismissed after review by the LASD's Office. The case is now closed."

The LASD Station later spoke to The Athletic and said, "Through the investigation, it was determined that the suspect’s brother did have a vehicle that’s similar, just a few years different."

Because of this confusion, Thiero did not want to press any more charges. As fans may remember from the original report, Samson and Rose took a newer-model BMW. Puka had bought a BMW XM back in 2025.
