"Picking Up the Dishes": Cleveland Browns Legend Pokes Fun at Kevin Stefanski’s Falcons Announcement

Kevin Stefanski landed on his feet in Atlanta, and one Cleveland Browns legend could not get enough of it.

Former Browns OL Joe Thomas kept his jokes around Kevin Stefanski's dinner with Falcons management, this time on X, with a post captioned:

“I must have been just off the photo to the left- that’s me picking up the dishes.”

Obviously, the 41-year-old wasn’t at Blank’s dinner, but it was just a part of the jokes Thomas has been making in the buildup to Stefanski's signing. He even made some fans believe he would be part of Stefanski's coaching staff!

He clarified with two posts, captioned, "2 truths and a lie! I most definitely will not be coaching next year anything but the fighting cardinals 4th grade flag football team up in Wisconsin... AtlantaFalcons job can’t pull me away from The Golf Jacket BEEF vision quest- lifelong journey to produce the best BEEF the world has ever tasted!!"

After retiring, Thomas pursued other business ventures. One of those is Hall of Fame Beef, a company that delivers premium steaks and beef sticks directly from its farm in Wisconsin to customers at home.

His humor came from a close relationship with Stefanski.

Joe Thomas Was Against Kevin Stefanski’s Firing

Despite Stefanski's disappointing season, Joe Thomas felt that the Browns made a huge mistake.

"It's definitely a big risk. It makes me nervous because you can do a lot worse than Kevin Stefanski; he's a good coach. Are there better coaches out there available? I don't know. Maybe, but he was a pretty good coach."

The 10-time Pro Bowler said that the Browns would find it hard to hire a better coach than him. Thomas's statement has merit, as Stefanski did find success in Cleveland. He had two Coach of the Year awards and two playoff runs.

What do you think? Did the Browns take a huge risk letting Stefanski go? Let us know in the comments!
