Patrick Mahomes Drops Blunt Take on Chiefs' Playoff Hopes Following Bitter Cowboys Defeat

The Kansas City Chiefs have had some fall from grace. From the Super Bowl game to finding themselves in the deep-end in the second half of the season, it certainly hadn't been easy. The Chiefs lost 28-31 to the Dallas Cowboys in the Thanksgiving game. And their MVP QB Patrick Mahomes has a message about how the team can get through this time.
After the game, the Chiefs QB said, "We're going to play a lot of good teams coming up. If we're going to make the playoffs, we're going to have to win them all. That's got to be the mindset when we step into the [team facility] when we get back."
The Chiefs will be going up against the Texans, Chargers, Titans, Broncos, and Raiders in their upcoming games. While two teams (Titans and Raiders) are arguable one of the worst in the league, the other three are among the best sides.

The Texans this season have the second-best defense of the season in terms of points allowed with a 16.5 OPP PPG, and have made 33 sacks, so this one will be a tough one for Patrick Mahomes, but they have the home advantage. Then, they have already lost once to the Chargers (27-21) this season, but this time the Chiefs are hosting with a PPG of 25.4 (9th-highest), which is higher compared to that of the Chargers (22.4). But even after these two, the big challenge would be the Broncos.
In terms of PPG, the Broncos sit beneath the Chiefs with that of 23.4, but they are one of the best defenses of the season with an OPP PPG of 17.5. Plus they already defeated the Chiefs this season once with a scoreline of 22-19. This time, the Chiefs will have the home field advantage. But it won't be that simple.
The Cowboys loss proved one thing. Patrick Mahomes can't carry the Chiefs to the playoffs alone. Even with a 261 yards and 4 touchdowns performance, consistent problems showed. Now, even Mahomes is calling it out.
Patrick Mahomes Confronts Team's Harsh Reality
Mahomes wasn't afraid of admitting, "We can beat anybody, but we've shown that we can lose to anybody,” while also addressing the problem.
“We've got to be more consistent…we've got to be consistent for four quarters, especially when you play good teams, and they have a good offense."
With the AFC Championship slipping further from their graps, do you think the Chiefs will make a comeback?
