Browns’ fans are angry at their franchise.

During the game against the Bills this week, head Coach Kevin Stefanski was booed by viewers in the stadium in one of the most humiliating moments of this year.

He is under fire for a 3-12 season and has been targeted with many questions, from partiality to job security. But, so far, general manager Andrew Berry has not been flagged for this turnout on a large scale. 

Andrew Berry is equally responsible for this season

In fact, Berry is expected to help the Cleveland Browns with the thorough reassessment to make improvements. According to NFL writer Ian Rapaport, Berry has a huge say in Stefanski’s future in the franchise. 

“Andrew Berry will be very involved in this situation and where the Cleveland Browns go from here,” he reported. “Some change would make sense based on how tough a season it has been.”

Meanwhile, sports commentator Daryl Ruiter maintains that if Stefanski leaves, Berry should too. On the 92.3 The Fan podcast, he blamed Berry for his draft choices that resulted in a bad season. He even accused Berry of wasting many talents.

“He had a team built to win consistently and ruined it,” he said.

“He wasted Nick Chuub, he wasted Joel Bitonio, Myles Garrett. He’s wasted Denzel Ward. He’s wanted this window. So why does he get the opportunity to continue?”

Stefanski and Berry have spent six seasons with the Browns, including the 2020 and 2023 playoff years. Ruiter said that either they both keep their jobs or are fired together- “That’s not how this should work.”  

He further expressed his dissatisfaction with Stefanski’s treatment and disapproved of Ian Rapaport’s update over the weekend. 

“I did not like that report over the weekend that Andrew Berry is going to have a tremendous say in the fate of Kevin Stefanski.”

The Browns have some advantage in the 2026 draft. If Berry stays, he must fix some of the most glaring problems of this season. 

"Why does he get the opportunity to continue? He put together the worst WR room in the NFL. He’s the one who wanted Deshaun Watson. The OL is in shambles,” Ruiter said.

The O-Line has performed so poorly that and most recently, six-time Pro Bowler Terrell Owens called them out after the loss against the Bills.

While Watson’s future alongside Stefanski’s remains unclear, Berry must prove he deserves to retain his job.
