NFL Teams Reportedly Boycotting Ravens After Maxx Crosby Disaster

The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly facing a league-wide boycott. A failed trade for star defender Maxx Crosby has allegedly led to multiple NFL teams refusing to engage in trade talks with the franchise, a stunning and unprecedented development.
On Tuesday, Dov Kleiman made an X post and revealed that, in a never-before-seen movement, several NFL franchises have reportedly decided to avoid any trade discussion with the team.
“Multiple NFL teams will NO LONGER be getting involved in trade discussions with the Ravens organization moving forward. Baltimore got cold feet after trading for Maxx Crosby and saved their picks to then sign Trey Hendrickson. We have never seen anything like this.”
Earlier this week, the Raiders and Ravens had agreed to trade Crosby in return for two first-round picks. This trade would have been a major move in Crosby’s career. He has played for the Raiders since being drafted in 2019. But the trade fell through after Crosby failed his physical.
What makes this even more punishing for the Raiders is that it takes away their proposed two first-round picks. The team is in desperate need of a rebuild, and those could have come in handy. In addition to Fernando Mendoza, we could have seen the likes of Kendrick Faulk, Olaivavega Ioane, or even Jordyn Tyson join them.
As for the Ravens, while there's no clarity on what teams are reportedly boycotting them, the team broke their silence on the failed deal.
What Is the Ravens’ Stance on Their Decision?
While there are no credible reports that solidify the Ravens’ blacklisting or boycott, fans and experts are upset over the development. And Eric DeCosta, the Ravens’ general manager, claimed that the franchise is “gutted” over the failed deal.
“We were really excited about adding Maxx, potentially adding Maxx to our team,” DeCosta said to Pro Football Talk.
“I’ve got a responsibility to the Ravens. I understand how people from afar would feel that way, but nobody’s more upset about this than me. Gutted by it, actually, a big regret for me.”
While some say the Ravens got cold feet, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that Crosby failed his physical exam. Whatever might be the cause, no one anticipated this move. What do you think of this?
