Despite the Cleveland Browns adding another win, there was one controversial decision in the 3rd quarter that caught everyone's attention.

It was the Browns’ drive, and they were leading Pittsburgh by 10-6. The play started from Cleveland’s 10 as Shedeur tried to throw the pass to Brenden Bates, but he was tackled by the Steelers’ Cam Hayward. However, the officials gave them a 15-yard penalty for roughing the passer. 

Many fans were furious with the decision and called the officials out for favoring Sanders and the Browns. Interestingly, in that same play, Pittsburgh conceded three penalties, but fortunately for them, they weren’t punished for those.

Ultimately, the 23-year-old had a decent outing in his seventh start for the Browns, scoring a touchdown for 186 yards. He also rushed for 20 yards on 4 carries.

With this gritty victory, the Browns are now 6th to get a 1st round draft pick with a 4-12 record. While the Steelers fans were not satisfied with the officiating standards, the Browns fans hope to get another win in their last game. 

Shedeur Sanders talks about his growth from his first start

In the post-game press conference, he stated that after starting in a bunch of games, it has definitely slowed down for him.

“I would say overall, I'm able to see the field and the game slow down for sure. I think the main thing is, I just like throwing the ball. In some situations, you can't just throw your dog a bone sometimes,” he said.  

The 23-year-old felt like they were playing better than the Steelers, and it helped them to gain momentum from the very start.

“You got to be able to know when it's calculated risk. I feel like our players are better than their players, so I just gave my guy a chance,” Sanders stated. 

Through the seven games he has started so far, he has scored 7 touchdowns for 1289 yards. Sanders has also recorded a rushing score of 143 yards. There’s still a game left against the Bengals.
