The buzz around the Cleveland Browns is growing louder, with many analysts backing Deshaun Watson to edge out Shedeur Sanders for the QB1 job. However, NFL insider Dan Graziano isn't buying it.

"It goes into training camp as a competition. They want to see more from both guys," Graziano said on 'Get Up.' "Todd Monken has waited a long time to be a head coach. He's not gonna want to say, 'We're gonna throw in the towel this year and get the quarterback next year.”

The Browns' QB problem isn't just about this year. The franchise has lacked a superstar QB in the last few years. We saw it's effect last season, when they rotated between three QBs and ended the season with a 5-12 record.

That's where Monken faces a dilemma. If Deshaun Watson wins the role and performs well, the team will have to look at signing a new contract with a player who's played just 19 times for the team in five years of a mega-money contract.

Given Watson's experience and performance with the Texans when he was at full strength, that will likely be the case. And considering reports coming from the OTAs and going into training camp, Watson is the stronger candidate. But that's what Graziano believes could be a problem.

"If Deshaun Watson gives him the best chance to win games, he's probably going to play him. That's not the right call for the future of the franchise,” said NFL analyst Dan Graziano in his conversation on ‘Get Up.’

The other option would be to give Shedeur Sanders more playtime and grow him into a better QB. However, if Watson starts this season, how practical would it be for the Browns to re-sign him? Graziano has the answer.

Common sense says no, and so does Dan Graziano, who believes Watson would have to pull off something miraculous to earn another contract in Cleveland.

"What would Deshaun Watson have to do to convince the Browns to re-sign him after this year? Inconceivable — 17-0 and the Super Bowl, and then we can talk about it," Graziano said in his conversation on ‘Get Up.’ "They need to find out what they have with Shedeur Sanders."

On the other hand, the Browns have yet to develop a franchise quarterback, and although Shedeur Sanders has shown immense promise this offseason, the fact that the front office has yet to name him the starting QB speaks volumes.
