The Head Coach search has come to an end, and now, interview method rumors are being cleared up.

A few weeks ago, Tom Pellissero broke the news that the Browns were taking personality tests and asking the candidates to write essays to evaluate them. Well, now, as per CBS Sports’ Aditi Kinkhabwala, that rumor is not true.

"No candidate was asked to write an essay to apply for this job. The way I was told it was that there was a five-question questionnaire that took care of a lot of things, saved a little bit of time. The Browns have clearly been very thorough."

She later revealed that the Browns, the GM, and the ownership were indeed on the page while hiring Monken.

"What I have learned about their process is that they're trying to be really intentional in making sure that ownership, GM, and head coach are all on the same page in terms of organization building."

Cleveland lost many candidates, like Mike McDaniel, Jesse Minter, and Grant Udinski, due to them finding better opportunities. 

They all withdrew from giving second interviews for Cleveland’s head coaching job. While McDaniel became the Chargers’ OC, Minter became the new Ravens head coach. As for Udinski, he joined the Jaguars as OC. 

Emmanuel Acho speaks on the Todd Monken decision

Emmanuel Acho was not excited with the idea of Todd Monken becoming the Browns' head coach.

He made it crystal clear on Speakeasy that Monken and Shedeur Sanders' partnership will not work.

"Any expectations from Shedeur Sanders under Todd Monken, I believe, will lead to disappointment," Acho said. "There is nothing about Monken as a head coach that gets you excited. "

Cleveland went two back-to-back seasons without a postseason under Kevin Stefanski.
