Shedeur Sanders made numerous records against the Titans in week 14 with his 364 yards. 3TDs and 1 rush TD. But that wasn't the only good thing for him from the game, since the NFL has handed him justice. 

The league has fined the Tennessee Titans’ LB Jihad Ward a sum of $7,806. Ward delivered a controversial hit on Sanders with about 2:43 left in the fourth quarter, right after Sanders completed a 13-yard pass while Cleveland was trying to mount a comeback. 

On the play, Ward’s tackle drew a roughing-the-passer flag on the field because he made contact in the head/neck area of Sanders. Ward's penalty may not have cost the Titans the win, but it did mean he could receive an additional punishment from the NFL. 

The league's rules enforcement guidelines state a player can be fined $17,398 for roughing the passer. Linebacker Eric Gray was under the hammer of the  NFL in their gameday accountability report.

The NFL hit Gray with two fines for $6,492 each for two separate facemask penalties, one at the 5:01 mark of the fourth quarter, the other at the 1:21 mark of the same quarter. Sanders also saw a penalty in week 15. 

Shedeur Sanders and Co. penalized 

Nothing was sitting right with the Browns in the game against the 3-31 beating from the Browns. Things started to go wrong from the very first quarter when Shedeur Sanders had a malfunction with the wristband, the one quarterbacks use to read plays from the coaches. 

Early in the game, Sanders had trouble communicating plays. He ended up running to the sideline to get the play call directly from his coach. That resulted in the Browns being charged with a delay of the game penalty on the opening drive. 

After that, he had to swap out the wristband. Stefanski called the incident “miscommunication,” and Sanders clarified that “The card just fell out.” The penalty was not something monetary. The Browns were pushed back 5 yards, moving them back to about their own 25-yard line before the play continued.
