Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown has been pushing for a move for some time. As per the latest reports, his odds have improved significantly, and fans have something to say about it.

On Saturday, NFL analyst Dov Kleiman posted on X (formerly Twitter), reporting that the odds of Brown's trade to the New England Patriots have reached a major high

“BREAKING: The odds for AJ Brown to be traded this offseason have SKYROCKETED to 55% on Polymarket. All signs are pointing towards the Patriots trading for Brown before the start of the next season. New England would be UNSTOPPABLE with AJ,” the post read.

In the past season, the 28-year-old wide receiver made 78 receptions for 1,003 yards. He scored seven touchdowns for the Eagles, who ended the year with an 11-6 record and first place in the NFC.

Brown has been a stable and consistent player who has fueled the offense since joining the side in 2022. But now looks for a new team to host him.

The New England Patriots seem to be a viable option for him. After they released their starter WR Stefon Diggs, the Patriots are in dire need of someone like Brown, who is physically imposing.

However, this has divided the fans into two camps. Those who want him to stay at Philadelphia, and the other who wants him at the Eagles.

What Are the Fan Reactions to the A.J. Brown News?

New England fans are happy with the odds of A.J. Brown moving to their backyard. Two fans opined that Brown would power the Patriots. 

“AJ to the Pats would be so awesome for fantasy. Maye, Brown, Devonta,” one replied, which was followed up by another similar comment. 

“I want AJ Brown to become a New England Patriot!”

Despite his impressive performance, the rift between him and the Eagles has reached a tipping point. Over the years, Brown has openly expressed his growing discontent with the team.

The resentment has only grown tenfold after Brown failed to meet expectations and almost fought his head coach, Nick Sirianni, on the sidelines.

But the animosity is mutual, as one Eagles fan replied, “We don’t care anymore. They can have him.” And another wrote, “Just how Philly was unstoppable with him.”

Brown’s 78 receptions don’t look impressive after you find out that he was targeted 121 times. He missed 43 times in the regular season and made three out of seven in the postseason. Brown has not played up to his potential, and that has left an impression on fans. 

“When he decides to actually catch the balls thrown to him. Yeah,” one X user posted curtly.
